Learning Paper-cut Art

Liu Ren is a traditional Chinese craftsman. He created a special type for showing the different characters from traditional Chinese legends or tales, with the material of paper. He cuts paper into quite different shapes, forming magic pictures with his scissors. His works are so famous among foreigners that a reservation is strongly recommended before your trip to the family museum.

Liu Ren’s masterpieces have been popular just from the beginning of 1990s. Before that, his creation was limited because of the political environment. After 1990, his works had been recognized by more and more foreigners, and earned him a great fame. Paper-cut works is not only a material for a show, but also an elegant art work.
